Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In this paper, the cross polarization reduction is reviewed in offset reflector antennas by expressing the primary feed radiation patterns in terms of analytic functions. The feed under study is a dual-mode circular waveguide antenna, operating at the fundamental mode, TE11, and the higher order TE21mode. Closed-form analytical functions are selected to approximate each mode which allows selection of symmetric and asymmetrical patterns with different field tapers in the principal planes and arbitrary excitation coefficients. It will be shown that, the asymmetrical aperture distribution of the dominant TE11mode in the presence of the higher TE21mode is sufficient to reduce the cross polarization of offset reflector antenna in both asymmetric and inter-cardinal planes, i.e. φ=90° and 45°.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
