Il y a quelques années à peine, le sujet de la réinvention des modèles d’affaires faisait une apparition remarquée dans la littérature spécialisée en gestion. Puis il a été question de génération de nouveaux modèles. Maintenant, il est de bon ton de parler de transformation numérique, celle-ci pouvant être plus ou moins radicale et nécessiter la remise à plat pure et simple d’une entreprise, ou simplement un ajustement plus ou moins majeur et limité dans son champ d’intervention, ou encore une invention vraiment réelle, prenant par exemple la forme d’une entreprise en démarrage ( start-up ) et pouvant entraîner dans son sillage la reconfiguration d’une industrie tout entière. Nous pensons ici au fameux cas précurseur de l’industrie de la musique.
