Abstract
This article argues that as the first general interest feminist periodical, the English Woman’s Journal interlinked various women’s issues in novel ways. The unique structure of the journal enabled it to offer a distinct perspective on the women’s movement, presenting itself as a collaborative feminist enterprise supported by an extended, influential network of social reformers. The structural features of the journal influenced its self-image and marketability in striking ways.
