Abstract
Partant du postulat du glissement progressif des dispositifs cinématographiques vers un paradigme électrique, l’auteur questionne l’impact de l’enregistrement synchrone filmique et vidéo sur nos conceptions de la technique audiovisuelle. Utilisant plusieurs exemples provenant en particulier du fonds de l’ONF, l’article décrit les difficultés liées à l’établissement d’une synchronisation son/image fiable au cinéma, pour ensuite analyser les principales différences esthétiques induites par l’utilisation des deux supports (pellicule et bande magnétique). L’asservissement de l’image et du son étant une donnée « ontologique » du medium vidéo, la désynchronisation devient un choix esthétique produisant un changement dans la perception de la temporalité des images et des sons.
