Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In this paper, we briefly review our recent studies of the Heisenberg anti-ferromagnet on the Shastry–Sutherland lattice for SrCu2(BO3)2 under magnetic fields. Treating magnetic excitations promoted by the field as Bose particles and using a strong-coupling expansion, we derived an effective Hamiltonian for the magnetic particles. Anisotropic repulsive interactions between particles induce "insulating" states with a stripe spin-density wave structure at magnetization m/msat = 1/3 and with a checkerboard structure at 1/2, and thereby form magnetization plateaux. We also demonstrated how the unique geometry of the Shastry–Sutherland lattice affects dynamical properties and makes a novel type of quintuplet (S = 2) bound states condense for very small magnetization. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
