Abstract
The finite element method (FEM) analysis allows the numerical computation of electromagnetic field, assuming a TEM mode of propagation, in term of magnetic vector potential, and taking into account the skin effect, the proximity effect, and the eddy currents. The results constitute the input of computation of the internal magnetic field and inductance, and other parasitic elements, with applications to integrated circuits, electric transmission lines, traces, and connectors.
