A monopole antenna loaded with a dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) has previously been found to offer wideband performance. In this paper the parasitic wire reflectors and directors are added to a DRA-loaded monopole to form a Yagi-like configuration. The effects on bandwidth and directivity are investigated and presented.
