Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present the results of a search for the flavor-changing neutral current decay ${B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ using a data set with integrated luminosity of $240\text{ }{\mathrm{p}\mathrm{b}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of $p\overline{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96\text{ }\mathrm{T}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}$ collected with the D0 detector in run II of the Fermilab Tevatron collider. We find the upper limit on the branching fraction to be $\mathcal{B}({B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}})\ensuremath{\le}5.0\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}7}$ at the 95% C.L. assuming no contributions from the decay ${B}_{d}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ in the signal region. This limit is the most stringent upper bound on the branching fraction ${B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ to date.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
