Abstract
Les familles recomposées constituent un nouveau modèle familial qui comporte des défis particuliers. Comment aider ses membres à relever ces défis et à s'adapter à cette nouvelle situation ? Quels sont les éléments qui caractérisent l'intervention auprès de ces familles ? L'utilisation du groupe est un outil qui permet de répondre à certains besoins propres à ces familles. Cet article propose donc au lecteur un modèle d'intervention de groupe s'adressant à des couples vivant une recomposition familiale à la suite d'un divorce. Il s'appuie sur un modèle d'éducation développé aux États-Unis ainsi que sur l'expérience de cinq groupes de familles recomposées formés par l'entremise de deux CLSC. L'organisation du groupe, le contenu des rencontres, de même que le cheminement observé chez les participants, figurent parmi les éléments présentés.
