Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est de présenter les résultats d’une recherche longitudinale sur les cheminements scolaires des francophones, des anglophones et des allophones du Québec. Les principaux aspects des cheminements qui ont fait l’objet de l’analyse ont trait au passage d’une année à l’autre ou d’un niveau d’enseignement donné à un niveau supérieur, à l’orientation des élèves vers les programmes de formation générale ou professionnelle, au passage d’un type de formation à un autre, à l’obtention d’un diplôme et à la sortie du système scolaire. L’analyse révèle des différences entre les trois groupes linguistiques, tente d’en cerner les principales dimensions et d’en dégager la signification du point de vue des inégalités scolaires et des politiques linguistiques.
