Abstract
Comment se pose la question de la responsabilité en lien avec l'enjeu intergénérationnel dans sa dimension socio-politique ? Le rapport aux autres générations paraît présentement impliquer à la fois une inquiétude et une responsabilité, en particulier au plan environnemental et de l'emploi. Quelques philosophes d'inspiration juive (Levinas, Jonas) aident à conjuguer inquiétude et responsabilité. Celles-ci s'inscrivent dans l'émergence d'une nouvelle conscience temporelle depuis le début de la crise environnementale. Le concept de responsabilité intergénérationnelle concerne surtout ce champ de réflexion et il affleure aussi dans les questions concernant l'équité intergénérationnelle depuis le début des années 1980, par exemple autour de l'emploi et de la dette publique. Certains exemples montrent que des clivages sociaux se créent en effet aussi entre générations, et non pas seulement entre les classes sociales et entre les sexes.
