Cette étude s'intéresse à l'effet que des modifications superficielles de l'énoncé d'un problème d'arithmétique pourraient avoir soit sur les taux de réussite, soit sur les modes de résolution. À structure mathématique constante, on s'aperçoit que la présence de grands nombres, de mots inducteurs, de même que la présentation des données numériques dans l'ordre de leur future utilisation diminuent le taux de succès. On constate également un phénomène d'apprentissage autonome concernant les démarches mises en oeuvre, allant dans le sens d'un accroissement de l'efficacité conjugué à une diminution de la dépense cognitive.
