Abstract
La présente étude porte sur les résultats d'une recherche consacrée aux problèmes de syntaxe qui perdurent chez les étudiants des ordres supérieurs d'enseignement. L'auteur fait d'abord état de fondements théoriques et didactiques qui sous-tendent et balisent l'appropriation syntaxique au primaire et au secondaire: l'enseignement de la syntaxe se trouve alors situé en relation avec celui de la morphosyntaxe et avec celui de la pratique discursive. Ensuite, après avoir décrit les principaux éléments de sa méthodologie de recherche, dont l'échantillon et la cueillette des données par verbalisation concomitante, il expose et analyse les résultats obtenus. Cette dernière section fait ressortir que les sujets se comportent différemment en situation contraignante et en situation non contraignante de résolution de problèmes syntaxiques, et l'analyse même des verbalisations recueillies illustre à quel point ce volet de l'apprentissage semble avoir été laissé pour compte.
