Abstract
“The novel is the one bright book of life” is Lawrence’s basic view about novel. “Life” here means man should feel everything with intuition, and to be a whole man. This idea is closely related to some main themes of Lawrence’s novels,such as opposition against pure spiritual love, dehumanization, blood consciousness. La « vie » signifie que l’on doit se comprendre par l’instinct et se developper completement.
