Abstract
“The novel is the one bright book of life” is Lawrence’s basic view about novel. “Life” here means man should feel everything with intuition, and to be a whole man. This idea is closely related to some main themes of Lawrence’s novels,such as opposition against pure spiritual love, dehumanization, blood consciousness. Key words: Life, Dehumanization, blood consciousness Resume: « Le roman est le seul livre de la vie splendide », voila la conception du roman fondamentale de Lawrence. La « vie » signifie que l’on doit se comprendre par l’instinct et se developper completement. Cette idee se lie etroitement avec les themes de ses romans, qui sont contre l’amour platonique, l’alienation de l’homme et la conscience sanguine.
