Abstract
À l'intérieur du Monde nordique, où vit une population de onze millions d'habitants, les problèmes de développement prennent une coloration particulière. La présente conjoncture développementale tient à la présence du pétrole et à l'hydroélectricité, de même qu'aux réclamations aréales et aux préoccupations écologiques. Une littérature abondante traite de ces sujets, notamment en ce qui concerne le complexe territorial de production. Deux aspects sont considérés ici : l'espace et les structures mentales. Au sujet des problèmes spatiaux, la théorie heartland-hinterland semble être insuffisante dans le Nord, étant donné les 4 types d'écoumènes. Quant à l'aspect perceptif, le développement empirique des grandes affaires a improvisé sa nordicité suivant le principe de la préséance des intérêts de l'entité englobante. Deux difficultés découlent de cette attitude : la rencontre des pouvoirs d'en haut et d'en bas, de même que l'incidence du Nord dans les affaires nationales. Pourra-t-on éviter de reconnaître la pluralité des systèmes ?
