Extracting different clusters of the given data is an appealing topic in swarm intelligence applications. This paper introduces multiple cooperative swarms and single swarm clustering approaches and provides mathematical descriptions explaining why the former approach outperform the other one. Moreover, the stability analysis is proposed to obtain the model order of the data using multiple cooperative swarms clustering approach. The proposed clustering approach is evaluated using three data sets and its performance is compared with that of other clustering techniques.
