Cette étude des nouvelles tendances en éducation des adultes est développée selon deux volets. Le premier constitue une analyse synthèse des tendances actuelles sur les politiques en éducation des adultes et sur les besoins de la société contemporaine. Le deuxième volet en est un de recherche à partir de 630 articles américains, britanniques, canadiens, français et internationaux publiés de 1990 à juin 1994 dans des revues scientifiques en éducation des adultes. Ces articles permettent de compléter le tableau des tendances actuelles en éducation des adultes en joignant l'activité scientifique à l'actualité et à la prospective.
