Abstract
Au-delà des obstacles d’ordre économique pour assurer une relève adéquate dans le secteur agricole, se dégage l’importance des aspects relationnels dans l’ensemble du processus du transfert de ferme pour les personnes impliquées dans une telle démarche, plus particulièrement dans la gestion agricole. Les résultats d’une enquête auprès de propriétaires de ferme et de leur relève permet d’éclairer deux aspects fort importants dans ce processus : le niveau de préparation et la dynamique interne du transfert de ferme. Dans cette dynamique, il est question du degré d’intégration des jeunes dans la gestion des tâches et de la distribution du pouvoir entre l’agriculteur âgé et sa relève.
