Abstract
L’analyse des idées et des actions liées aux politiques publiques de l’organisation de la recherche universitaire au Québec suggère que ces politiques sont associées étroitement à un mouvement l’instrumentalisation croissante de la recherche, induit par une proximité plus grande entre l’université et le marché économique mondialisé. On entend par instrumentalisation d’un phénomène le fait de le mettre au service d’une idéologie, d’un pouvoir ou d’une finalité. Les universitaires relatent souvent leurs observations en ce sens, et certains ont fait l’exercice supplémentaire de formaliser par écrit leurs analyses. Dans le but d’identifier les concepts et les faits pertinents à la compréhension de la situation actuelle au plan des transformations de l’organisation de la recherche universitaire, au Québec et au-delà, les témoignages de Guy Rocher, Guy Bourgeault, Jean-Marc Fontan et Aline Giroux seront recensés et mis en contexte.
