This paper highlights some of the main Canadian contributions to the field of location analysis. Each of the main fields of inquiry is first introduced either formally or informally. Then the contributions are briefly summarized and put into context. A critical evaluation of the contributions and a glimpse at present and potential future activities concludes the paper.
