Abstract
Le travail du professeur des écoles d’aujourd’hui n’a plus grand-chose à voir avec ce que faisait l’instituteur et il est maintenant conduit à exercer dans un espace qui s’est considérablement agrandi. Dans le cadre des dispositifs territorialisés d’insertion sociale, le champ d’intervention du travailleur social s’est lui aussi élargi. Les modes d’intervention se trouvent maintenant décidés et contrôlés par l’instance politique et impliquent une concertation entre plusieurs institutions. Les partenariats fournissent des espaces d’invention ou de réinvention du métier pour les enseignants mais aussi pour les travailleurs sociaux avec lesquels ils sont associés. Mais la mise en place de ces partenariats sous la pression institutionnelle va fortement mettre en cause les identités professionnelles des uns et des autres. Cet article y fait apparaître des points de tension qui se cristallisent principalement autour de la place des parents au sein de la communauté éducative.
