Quelles sont les variables déterminantes du choix de carrière de l’adolescente? Ce problème fut exploré dans le cadre des écoles secondaires de l’Ontario en utilisant un échantillon de 420 adolescentes. Quatre instruments de mesure furent utilisés pour évaluer les effets de chacune des variables considérées. Les conclusions sont les suivantes : 1) il n’y a que la situation socio-économique et le stade de développement qui influencent la nature du choix de carrière de l’adolescente; 2) d’autres variables telles que la conception de la féminité, le centre de décision et le travail de la mère ne jouent aucun rôle prépondérant à cet égard.
