Abstract
L’école francophone en Colombie-Britannique voit progressivement sa population se diversifier en raison d’une immigration de plus en plus importante. Cette diversification du milieu éducatif redessine le visage de la francophonie tant sur le plan identitaire que linguistique et réinterroge les liens familles-écoles. En effet, les familles immigrantes sont confrontées à des cultures scolaires différentes, compte tenu de référents culturels et sociaux associés à des représentations variées sur l’identité francophone. Notre propos sera d’examiner ces représentations à travers le regard particulier des enseignants immigrants, qui sont aussi parents. En quoi ces représentations peuvent-elles nous éclairer sur les distances culturelles, explicites ou implicites, qui peuvent parfois compromettre des interactions efficaces entre les familles immigrantes et leurs enfants et les écoles francophones?
