Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present the results of a search for pair production of the supersymmetric partner of the top quark (the top squark ${\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{t}}_{1}$) decaying to a $b$ quark and a chargino ${\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{\ensuremath{\chi}}}_{1}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ with a subsequent ${\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{\ensuremath{\chi}}}_{1}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ decay into a neutralino ${\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{\ensuremath{\chi}}}_{1}^{0}$, lepton $\ensuremath{\ell}$, and neutrino $\ensuremath{\nu}$. Using a data sample corresponding to $2.7\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of integrated luminosity of $p\overline{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{TeV}$ collected by the CDF II detector, we reconstruct the mass of top squark candidate events and fit the observed mass spectrum to a combination of standard model processes and ${\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{t}}_{1}{\overline{\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{t}}}_{1}$ signal. We find no evidence for ${\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{t}}_{1}{\overline{\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{t}}}_{1}$ production and set 95% C.L. limits on the masses of the top squark and the neutralino for several values of the chargino mass and the branching ratio $\mathcal{B}({\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{\ensuremath{\chi}}}_{1}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{\ensuremath{\chi}}}_{1}^{0}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\nu})$.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
