Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A one-polymer composite made by PE/UHMPE fibers was previously studied; its thermal properties and the transcrystallization of the matrix over the fibers was observed. In this present study, the influence of surface treatment of the fibers of a one-polymer composite made of PE reinforced with UHMPE fibers, on the properties of the composites was studied. The fibers were first used with their initial sizing; then, they were used after either etching in chromic acid or plasma treatment of their surface. Stress–strain behavior in longitudinal and in transverse directions of the unidirectional composite and pull-out tests were performed. The crystallization of the matrix on the fiber surface was followed by microscopy and by DSC analysis. The structure of the interface was then observed by wide angle X-ray diffraction. Rheological experiments were conducted on the matrix and on the composites to evaluate the influence of the interface on dynamical properties at low frequencies.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
