Pese a las muchas investigaciones emprendidas por diversos especialistas de las ciencias humanas sobre u no u otro aspecto del proceso de la representación simbólica colectiva, seguimos lejos de una teoría global que considere todos los aspectos de este proceso y que los incorpore en el conjunto de los comportamientos sociales. Estamos aún en las teorías intermedias, como la de Tumer para el ritual, la de Lévi-Strauss para la mitología, la de Middleton para la brujería, etc. Además, como bien lo dice Godelier, aún está por elaborarse la teoría marxista de la religión. De modo que los antecesores de cada uno de ellos, Frazer, Tylor, Durkheim, etc., se hallan todavía en el meollo de las grandes explicaciones.* Représentations colletives et societés, en "La rupture entre l'entreprise et les hommes", A.
