Abstract
Le G-CSF princeps (Neupogen) sert depuis des années au Canada pour mobiliser les cellules souches progénitrices et traiter la neutropénie induite par la thérapie dans le contexte de greffe de cellules souches. Bien que les avantages de ce produit ne soient nullement remis en cause, d’autres produits sont aussi disponibles. Le G-CSF biosimilaire (Zarzio) est beaucoup utilisé en Europe depuis 2009 et a récemment été homologué aux États-Unis pour les cinq mêmes indications que le Neupogen. Le Zarzio s’est révélé sécuritaire, aussi efficace et plus accessible et économique que l’agent princeps, sans incidence néfaste pour le patient.
