Abstract
L’analyse qualitative du Programme national d’aide alimentaire (PRONAA) et du programme d’appui aux plus pauvres – JUNTOS – éclaire les représentations des rapports sociaux de sexe qui y sont véhiculées. Deux représentations émergent de cette analyse : le maternalisme et les relations conflictuelles entre femmes bénéficiaires. L’argument central de l’auteure consiste à démontrer que les politiques de lutte contre la pauvreté sont passées de politiques fondées sur le travail collectif des femmes, responsables du bien-être social, à des politiques individualistes où la mère isolée devient la seule responsable du bien-être de la famille et de la communauté.
