Abstract
Cet article vise à présenter les résultats d’une recherche exploratoire sur la relation entre le rapport à la culture d’étudiants en enseignement et la mise en œuvre d’une approche culturelle dans la discipline « français », ainsi qu’à préciser un cadre théorique du rapport à la culture. Nous avons analysé les textes de 35 étudiants, dans lesquels ils devaient définir ce que signifie pour eux la culture et leur conception du rôle de l’enseignant dans le développement culturel des élèves. Une analyse de contenu nous a permis de circonscrire quatre types de rapport à la culture : désimpliqué, instrumentaliste, scolaire et intégratif-évolutif, ainsi que deux plans, individuel et pédagogique — soit l’accompagnement de l’élève dans son développement culturel.
