Abstract
La satisfaction dans la vie et les notions apparentées (exemple : bien-être, qualité de vie, bonheur) connaissent à l’heure actuelle un engouement scientifique sans précédent. S’appuyant particulièrement sur la consolidation du courant associé à la psychologie positive, cet intérêt « renouvelé » appelle une exploration des tenants et des aboutissants de la satisfaction dans la vie afin de mieux en cerner les aspects conceptuels et relationnels. Le présent texte vise à mettre en lumière les connaissances émanant de la psychologie sur le sujet par une reconstruction historique des moments importants ayant structuré son évolution. À partir d’une analyse séquentielle, explorant le contexte général, théorique et empirique, cet article esquisse une synthèse des réflexions entourant la notion de satisfaction dans la vie permettant de dresser un portait global des chemins visités et de ceux à parcourir.
