Abstract
La perspective temporelle éclaire bien certaines dynamiques de la division sexuée des activités sociales. Après avoir rappelé les trois tendances convergentes relevées dans dix pays développés (légère augmentation du temps de travail rémunéré; convergence entre hommes et femmes; renversement de la relation positive entre temps de loisirs et niveau d’éducation), on nuance fortement les progrès féminins et on s’interroge sur les implications du processus de polarisation sociale des richesses et du temps pour la division sexuelle du travail domestique. On montre enfin combien les nouvelles formes de disponibilité temporelle professionnelle compliquent l’action collective et les politiques publiques en faveur d’une diminution effective du temps de travail.
