Abstract
À l'aide de certaines notions empruntées aux analyses féministes et à l'école de la régulation, l'auteure tente de retracer les conditions historiques et le jeu des forces sociales qui ont favorisé le développement des banlieues, au Québec, dans la période d'après-guerre. L'analyse adopte le « point de vue des femmes ». Ces dernières sont appréhendées comme groupe social et acteur historique impliqué dans la dynamique de rapports sociaux intervenant dans la production d'un paysage résidentiel aux effets contradictoires, la banlieue pavillonnaire.
