Un échantillon de près de 14 000 élèves de 5 e primaire ainsi que de 3 e et 5 e secondaires, constitué en 1986 pour évaluer l’enseignement des sciences au Canada français selon le plan de l’ International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement a concurremment servi à l’étude de l’influence de la latéralité sur les attitudes des élèves envers les sciences. La latéralité n’influence de façon significative que l’estime pour les sciences et la perception de la difficulté de l’étude des sciences. L’auteure propose un portrait de l’élève porté vers les sciences.
