Abstract
Dans la foulée d'une certaine crise épistémologique et théorique du positivisme (sa méthodologie se porte bien, Dieu merci!), on a pu assister depuis une dizaine d'années à un regain de popularité et de légitimité "scientifique" des différentes problématiques "compréhensives" dans les sciences sociales. Mais en insistant sur la "dimension significative" et "subjective" de l'action, ces approches "interprétatives" font resurgir au centre des préocupations épistémologiques le problème de la normativité immanente à l'objet d'étude, aussi bien que celui de l'implication "idéologique" des sciences humaines. La question est donc maintenant de savoir dans quelle mesure lesdites sciences humaines sont prêtes à assumer théoriquement cette double dimension, objective et subjective, de leur pratique cognitive comprise comme rapport critique à la société, et elle est du même coup de savoir si elles disposent d'un modèle adéquat pour reconnaître cette dimension normative en sa spécificité ontologique et épistémologique. C'est un tel modèle que voudrait esquisser philosophiquement le présent article, pour en dégager quelques idées directrices touchant à une réorientation pédagogique, à caractère non dogmatique mais réflexif, de la tâche normative qui échoit aux sciences humaines dans la société contemporaine.
