Abstract
La réalisation d’une comparaison internationale ou transnationale est le fruit d’une tension entre, d’une part, un questionnement relatif à la pertinence et, d’autre part, un questionnement relatif à la faisabilité. Pour prévenir une possible confusion entre les objectifs et les moyens, trois dimensions particulièrement problématiques doivent être considérées de manière itérative : celle de la posture du comparatiste par rapport à son objet, celle de la construction des concepts et celle de la sélection des unités de la comparaison. Plusieurs illustrations relatives aux modes d’organisation, de fonctionnement et d’action de l’État québécois seront fournies pour souligner l’importance de ces trois dimensions.
