Abstract
Cet article tente de pousser jusqu’aux ultimes conséquences l’hypothèse selon laquelle les performatifs n’ont qu’une fonction : lier. Pour ce faire, il se propose de retrouver la plupart des performatifs juste en combinant les deux uniques constituants du lien : la jonction (con- jonction ou dis- jonction ) déterminée par un axe horizontal intérieur/extérieur, et la position déterminée par un axe haut/bas, d’où le « système JP ». Il ressort de cette combinatoire jonction/position que les performatifs obéissent à sept grandes formes de jeux relationnels, reproductibles à souhait par un langage machine – chose aujourd’hui impossible avec les catégories d’Austin et Searle. Sept grandes formes de jeux rendent désormais envisageable, selon le voeu de Greimas, une fusion harmonieuse entre pragmatique et sémiotique.
