Abstract
Cet article relate une expérience menée par une enseignante en musique au primaire pour améliorer le comportement d’élèves qui perturbent la classe. Il s’agit d’une activité de dessin à la récréation présentée comme sanction pour les élèves ayant contrevenu aux règles du groupe dans le cours de musique. Cette expérience s’est avérée positive, car elle a permis à l’enseignante d’acquérir une meilleure compréhension des élèves difficiles et d’apaiser les tensions découlant des conflits vécus en classe. L’auteure démontre que le plaisir partagé de la création artistique et du jeu social ont permis d’établir une meilleure communication avec les élèves et d’éviter le recours à la violence et la coercition, tout en incitant les jeunes à coopérer davantage à l’école.
