Determinantes del éxito de las relaciones fabricante-distribuidor: El caso de los concesionarios de automóviles estadounidenses en España

Abstract
Las relaciones fabricantedistribuidor constituyen el eje de la gerencia del canal de distribución. Se analizan los efectos tanto del poder coercitivo como no coercitivo en las variables mediadoras cooperación y conflicto, así como la influencia de dichas variables en la satisfacción, en el contexto del canal de distribución de automóviles estadounidenses en España. El reducido tamaño de la muestra final (46 distribuidores), nos obliga a la utilización de la técnica de regresión PLS (Partial Least Squares). Los resultados obtenidos muestran que algunos fabricantes usan un mayor poder coercitivo en sus relaciones con los distribuidores. Esta decisión tiene un impacto en la cooperación/ conflicto entre fabricante y distribuidor, impacto que en función de la estrategia elegida podrá ser positivo o negativo en la satisfacción del distribuidor.
