L’avènement de programmes d’intervention originaux qui s’intéressent aux jeunes des rues sur le plan mondial permet d’appréhender, dans cette même perspective, le phénomène auquel ils sont associés. Le présent article vise à mettre en lumière, par le biais du discours international, l’existence de courants de pensée et de systèmes de représentations dominants, en jetant un regard sur leur évolution. Ces idéologies sont ensuite mises en dialogue avec certaines notions du courant dit « alternatif », qui engendrent des fondements théoriques et idéologiques de même que des représentations des jeunes des rues, qui peuvent prétendre à une certaine universalité.
