Abstract
Lors d'une restructuration organisationnelle, les dirigeants doivent tenir compte des inquiétudes des employés à défaut de quoi de nombreuses conséquences négatives pourraient se manifester au sein des «survivants». Cet article fournit des considérations importantes à l'intention des administrateurs, des gestionnaires et des planificateurs au sujet des gens qui sont demeurés en poste durant la restructuration des hôpitaux ontariens. Selon nos constatations, qui sont valables pour la plupart des organisations qui envisagent ou qui traversent une restructuration, il est nécessaire de gérer le changement de façon proactive, y compris l'application de stratégies d'intervention personnalisées, afin de venir en aide aux «survivants».
