Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present a measurement of time-dependent $CP$-violating asymmetries in decays of neutral $B$ mesons to the final states ${D}^{*\ensuremath{\mp}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$, using approximately $82\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ events recorded by the BABAR experiment at the PEP-II ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ storage ring. Events containing these decays are selected with a partial reconstruction technique, in which only the high-momentum ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ from the $B$ decay and the low-momentum ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{\mp}}$ from the ${D}^{*\ensuremath{\mp}}$ decay are used. We measure the amplitude of the asymmetry to be $\ensuremath{-}0.063\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.024(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.014(\mathrm{syst})$ and compute bounds on $|\mathrm{sin}(2\ensuremath{\beta}+\ensuremath{\gamma})|$.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
