Cette recherche s’inscrit dans le domaine d’étude qui porte sur les orientations didactiques susceptibles de favoriser le développement orthographique. En ce sens, ses objectifs sont de décrire et de catégoriser les pratiques déclarées en orthographes approchées chez des enseignantes du préscolaire ( N = 5). L’analyse des résultats montre que ces pratiques peuvent être exploitées de différentes façons en variant le contexte de la situation d’écriture et le regroupement de travail. La gestion du temps, la fréquence durant la semaine et les objectifs éducatifs visés sont des variables à prendre en considération lors de la mise en place de telles activités.
