Les victimes d’agression sexuelle à l’enfance (ASE) sont exposées à un risque plus élevé que les non-victimes de vivre une agression sexuelle subséquente une fois adulte (ASA). Ce phénomène préoccupant en raison de son ampleur et de la sévérité des séquelles qui s’ensuivent réfère à la revictimisation sexuelle. Cette étude longitudinale vise à identifier les facteurs de risque de l’ASA chez les victimes d’ASE en se basant sur le modèle intégratif élaboré par Hébert, Daigneault et Van Camp (2012). L’échantillon de convenance se compose de 514 participants provenant de quatre écoles secondaires de trois villes du Québec. Ces derniers ont été interrogés à trois reprises entre l’âge de 18 ans et de 21 ans. L’échantillon final est formé de 68 participants qui ont déclaré avoir vécu une ASE et, de ce nombre, 33 (49 %) déclarent avoir subi une ASA. Diverses variables indépendantes se rapportant principalement à la sphère individuelle de la victime d’ASE ont été évaluées, dont les caractéristiques des agressions sexuelles et les séquelles comportementales et psychologiques d’une ASE. Des analyses de régressions logistiques ont été effectuées afin d’identifier les variables indépendantes qui caractérisent le groupe de participants ASE-ASA du groupe ASE. Les résultats indiquent que seul un niveau élevé de symptômes d’anxiété prédit de façon significative l’augmentation du risque d’agression sexuelle à l’âge adulte. La discussion des résultats mettra en lumière les implications cliniques à privilégier afin d’intervenir rapidement et adéquatement auprès des victimes d’ASE afin de prévenir la revictimisation sexuelle à l’âge adulte.
