Abstract
L’auteur tente de déterminer les limites à l’intérieur desquelles devrait se définir la mission éducative de l’éducation physique québécoise. Une mission sociale éducative a des exigences très sérieuses. La première est sûrement de centrer le processus d’éducation physique sur l’éduqué. Pour ce faire, il faudrait atteindre un consensus chez les éducateurs physiques. Il semble que jusqu’ici, l’éducation physique se soit développée davantage face à des éléments techniques plutôt qu’à des aspects éducatifs. Les premiers jalons sont ici élaborés pour la planification d’une nouvelle vision éducative pour l’éducation physique au Québec.
