Abstract

Cet article vise à expliciter la démarche d’analyse utilisée dans le cadre de la méthodologie de la théorisation enracinée (MTE) pour rendre compte du rôle des aidants dans le traitement pharmacologique de leur proche atteint d’Alzheimer. Après une brève présentation de la problématique et du paradigme épistémologique et méthodologique à la base de l’étude, sont présentés en détail les étapes du codage et le processus de construction de la théorisation ayant mené à l’élaboration du modèle théorique de l’engagement des aidants dans le traitement de leur proche. Cette description implique de s’attarder aussi bien à la procédure d’échantillonnage théorique qu’à la construction des schémas et des mémos qui ont servi au processus d’analyse. Enfin, une vision du travail analytique, lequel émerge de l’interaction entre le chercheur et les données pour produire du sens à partir des significations que les aidants confèrent à leur expérience, conclut cet article.
