Abstract
Ce texte examine l’évolution du concept de maniaco-dépression vers la notion de bipolarité dans la littérature psychiatrique et projective. Nous avons procédé à l’analyse du discours des protocoles de Rorschach et de TAT chez huit patients portant le diagnostic de trouble affectif bipolaire selon le DSM-IV. Il en ressort une diversité importante d’organisations psychiques. Nous avons aussi mis en évidence deux dimensions, l’une de nature langagière, que nous avons convenu d’appeler la référence à l’intensité, et l’autre relative à l’angoisse, que nous rattachons à la persécution.
