Abstract
L’article aborde des exemples de l’état de transformation symbolique, de représentation et de désacralisation en s’intéressant à certains artistes de l’art performance contemporain, notamment : Rocio Boliver, alias la Congelada de Uva (Mexique), et Ana Mendieta (Cuba). Nous nous intéresserons, plus particulièrement, à l’utilisation de la mort réelle et au simulacre de rituel funéraire chez ces performeures féministes de deux époques différentes (années 1970-1980 pour Mendieta et années 2000 pour Boliver). Nous proposons l’étude de la performativité dans l’art action féministe et ses tentatives de contournement de l’image du corps féminin imposée par la société. Nous nous intéressons donc aux réalisations artistiques performatives et transgressives qui visent une désacralisation du corps et contribuent à détruire les représentations conformes de la corporéité. La performativité s’opère en repoussant l’image du corps « pur » et les stéréotypes associés au genre féminin. L’utilisation du corps à travers ces performances est ici vue comme un matériau symbolique transformable, ou objet malléable, instaure une prise de contrôle de la performeure sur sa propre condition et contribue au processus de « décolonisation » de soi.
