Se aborda el concepto de poder ejercido y su relación indirecta con la satisfacción en los canales de distribución de productos de gran consumo. Se busca demostrar que los distribuidores más influyentes ejercen gran poder sobre los fabricantes. La relación entre el poder ejercido y la satisfacción es indirecta, y pasa por el conflicto, la orientación a largo plazo o compromiso, la cooperación y la confianza. El poder ejercido tiene una fuerte relación directa con el conflicto, y a su vez una relación inversa con la satisfacción. Igualmente, el poder ejercido presenta una relación negativa con la confianza, que a su vez desarrolla una relación positiva con la satisfacción.
