À partir d'une analyse écosystémique d'un entretien de supervision de stage impliquant un enseignant du primaire et sa stagiaire, le présent article vise à mieux faire comprendre les conditions susceptibles de permettre une communication optimale. Les résultats de l'étude de cas montrent que la dynamique relationnelle de cet entretien repose sur une règle rigide de relation (symétrie de neutralité) associée à un manque de messages susceptibles de développer chez une personne une certaine autonomie d'action et de pensée. Un tel fait risque de compromettre un apprentissage significatif.
