Abstract
Freud publie L’interprétation des rêves en 1900. C’est la naissance de la psychanalyse. Dans un premier temps, l’auteur présente l’historique de cette évolution et des difficultés rencontrées par Freud dans l’élaboration de sa théorie. L’apport de l’école anglaise, en créant le concept de « monde interne », a redonné aux rêves sa place privilégiée de « voie royale ». Le rêve devient un outil indispensable de réappropriation subjective par le processus de pensée qu’il peut enclencher. Dans un second temps, l’auteur se penche sur l’oeuvre de Romain Gary qu’il approche comme une production de rêves. Il montre comment s’exprime, à travers différents romans, la problématique de l’identité, au coeur de la vie et l’oeuvre de cet écrivain. On y voit, notamment, la création, au service de la mise en figuration du traumatisme.
